The Prairie du Sac Dam is a hydroelectric dam on the Wisconsin River and forms Lake Wisconsin. After completing Kilbourn Dam upriver at Wisconsin Dells in 1909, Southern Wisconsin Power Company started construction at this site in 1911. It began to generate power in September 1914. These facilities were among the first generating stations to bring renewable electricity to Wisconsinites for over 100 years. Filmed in October 2022 and April 2023 when the river was at different water levels.
